This title allows you access to every inch of the ship and even has models standing at their posts just like a real crew would. Comprehending the complexity of maneuvering this machine was an amazing realization, and ultimately increased the dread I felt putting myself in the shoes of the crew and passengers that were present during the disaster. Excellent narrative gives you an incredible amount of info on the ship's history, operation and other cool info. There are other experiences outside of the exploratory narrative. You can witness a reinactment of the disaster from ground view (very sobering experience). You can stand alongside it in the hangar to get a sense of scale. You can even pilot a little RC Hindenburg. It does some pretty unique stunts that I don't think the original crew could duplicate. :D. Great simulation. I really enjoyed exploring the Hindenburg and getting a feel of what the experience was like. Please do more historical things like this!. It was enjoyable, though basic. A little over priced but since it appears the developer is small and potentially has a small number of people interested in the Hindenburg, I can see why it is priced as such. The textures are not detailed enough and need work. The ship is actually very well done, overall.. Pretty cool experience. Controls are not the greatest. Improving the graphics/textures would be nice. Other than that it was fun roaming through this historical airship. It really shows what VR has in store for the future as far as eductional experiences go. There are other places to go and see than just the airship, including a mini hangar-museum that details what this airship was all about. Pretty rad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nOoSgq7xMs. Whats here so far is great ! You really cant understand just how massive the Hindenberg was until you stand next to it and walk through it. The interiors of the Airship appear to be directly modeled and textured from actual photos of the ship and are all easily accessable via varous methods. For a one man team it is amazing to see how much has already been put in and I'd say at this point its at about 90% complete from what I expect to see in the finished product. This project is one of the first in what I hope is a long line of educational experiences in VR. The value of supporting projects like this cannot be understated. I can't wait to see how the crash scene works out. Where I'd like to see improvement if possible is some of the textures since they are apparently taken from original images can be a bit blurry. I am just learning the ins and outs of 3d modeling and I don't know much about creating textures so I don't know how easy it would be to fix this but It is noticeable. Other than that I've noticed the RC Blimp is kind of hard to control but that may just be my lack of practice. Overall I would highly suggest this as a purchase for anyone interested in History and anyone wanting to support the creation of future projects like this. The success of these first few educational projects may have a big impact on whether or not we see more of these in the future.. I originally bought\/returned this title about a year ago and recently repurchased on sale with more content. Definitely worth the sale price now - walking from an engine pod to the smoke room answered a lot of questions I never knew I even had. Relaxing in the Promenade amid fire and fury was suprisingly replayable, and walking around a zeppelin at night with a flashlight was'nt as pointless as it sounds. Sadly, my original reason for returning still stands...the textures are shockingly low-res. This could have been a truly epic download with normal quality textures. Having said that, I can affirm that it is now worth keeping.... It was enjoyable, though basic. A little over priced but since it appears the developer is small and potentially has a small number of people interested in the Hindenburg, I can see why it is priced as such. The textures are not detailed enough and need work. The ship is actually very well done, overall.. This is an interesting experience and I did get a sense of the enormity of the Hindenburg. It was neat to see the sleeping areas, bar, lounges, cat walks, engine compartments, and other areas in scale. I would like to see more instruments and detailed textures. I would also like to see human figures on the ground to help perceive height and scale.Overall, I was happy with this purchase.
